QuantiSense will collaborate with Netezza to deliver its business intelligence and analytics application developed for the retail industry. QuantiSense claims that with integration of their offerings, retailers will be able to take advantage of its Playbooks, a set of ‘plays’ unique for each retail job role that guides users to make decisions and take action in response to specific situations.

According to QuantiSense, its Playbooks turn the methodology of the professionals into the decision processes that are consistent across the retail organisation, enabling retailers with analytical capabilities to reduce stockouts, overstocks and markdowns.

QuantiSense said that Netezza’s data warehouse and analytics appliances, including the new Netezza TwinFin appliance, enables it to deliver improved performance from the retail metrics built into its application.
