Business Intelligence (BI) software company QlikTech is expanding its QlikView on Mobile support for popular tablets and other handheld devices.
QlikView will support full mobile functionality on Android and BlackBerry platforms and it will give an, "engaging mobile BI experience that provides business users with anywhere, anytime access to live data and analytics", said the company in a statement.
The application provides support for browsers on multiple tablet platforms which improves usability and time to value and it also provides browser Support for Smartphones which result in optimal use of small touch screens.
QlikView features a browser-based user interface to deliver information to mobile workforces. With QlikView on Mobile, users get the complete QlikView Business Discovery experience, including interactive analysis, rich visualisation, and associative search capabilities, said the company.
The Qlik application delivers live data from any source, specific to user needs, anywhere and anytime decisions are made. For users on devices with smaller screens, such as an iPhone or Android smartphone the platform will display the app one object at a time, which the company says removes the need to rebuild the app for these devices.
QlikTech vice-president of global product marketing Jeff Boehm said Qlik’s strategy is to enable business users to conduct searches and interact with dynamic dashboards and analytics from any mobile device.
QlikView on Mobile currently supports iPad and Android tablets. Blackberry tablet and iPhone and Android phone support will be available in the next 90 days, said Qlik.
