QL2, an on-demand data platform provider, has selected Tableau Software to provide reporting, dashboard and analytic capabilities as an additional service to its clients.
Tableau Software said that QL2 will embed configurable reports, dashboards and visualizations from Tableau Server into the QL2 on-demand data platform for customers. Tableau’s data visualization software connects directly to data sources, enabling people to understand data through reports, business dashboards and visualizations.
Tableau Software also said that it allows entire organizations to share, discover and participate with their data via a web browser. The Tableau capabilities will be available to QL2 customers with the upcoming release of Tableau version 5.0.
Rosie Hausler, vice president of marketing at QL2, said: We wanted to provide a compelling SaaS-based solution that could scale the huge volumes of data our customers consume. To address this demand, Tableau fit the bill perfectly. With Tableau, QL2 can easily create and embed visual analytics without a heavy product integration effort. Our customers get truly useful, easy-to-use data visualizations and dashboards that help them see and understand their data better than ever before.
