Predixion Software has launched a new self-service, cloud-based predictive analytics offering- Insight for Excel and PowerPivot, that is fully integrated with Microsoft’s business intelligence (BI) platform.
Predixion said that the new offering enables organisations to use and analyse large amounts of data to make actionable decisions, all within Microsoft Excel, PowerPivot and SharePoint.
The Insight for Excel and PowerPivot features: data exploration and preparation, data cleansing and data sampling tools; model building wizards and model tuning capabilities; and management tools that allow information workers to manage, store, change and run predictive models in the cloud.
It also offers the ability to query data predictively including analysing key influencers, forecasting, shopping basket analysis and others.
Predixion Software co-founder and CEO Simon Arkell said that the new Insight breaks down cost and complexity barriers to predictive analytics by providing easy to use, self-service predictive analytics functionality, all within Microsoft Excel.
In addition, the company has also announced a strategic partnership with Neudesic, a Microsoft National Systems Integrator.
