Tuxera, a provider of Windows-compatible file systems for Linux, Android, and Mac, has collaborated with PLX Technology, a provider of network attached storage (NAS) devices, to optimise the Tuxera File System Suite for storage design using PLX NAS offerings.

The Tuxera’s file systems interact with the Linux kernel as a standard plug-in kernel module and combines service and support with its interoperable file system offerings.

PLX Technology said that the collaboration with Tuxera ensures that its technology is working in tandem with NAS products, to deliver performance across multiple file systems and applications.

Tuxera CEO Mikko Valimaki said that for the company the PLX partnership is an endorsement of Tuxera’s file system suite in high-performance storage applications.

"Tuxera is fully committed to increasing its leadership in embedded markets, and this partnership marks an important milestone," Valimaki said.
