By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle has launched the new third generation Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c that is claimed to decrease the costs and complexity of cloud management.

The enhancements will help in managing infrastructure, middleware and applications, allowing IT service providers to be more agile while cutting down the costs and complexity of cloud and enterprise IT environments.

The new application is claimed to simplify the deployment and management of business applications in an enterprise private cloud such as platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and offer enhanced business application management and integrated hardware-software management for engineered systems.

According to the company, the Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c R3 supports Oracle Database12c along with new multitenant capabilities.

Oracle product strategy and business development VP Sushil Kumar said as organisations are increasingly deploying clouds, cloud service providers are facing a number of management challenges.

"With these new enhanced features we are enabling cloud service providers to increase the efficiency and agility of their cloud environments," Kumar added.

"Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Release 3 advances the state of the art in cloud management for service providers."
