Oracle has introduced its Optimized Solution for Oracle E-Business Suite that claims to offer customers a documented architecture for upgrading and consolidating Oracle’s integrated suite of global business applications.
The company also claimed that the Optimized Solution for Oracle E-Business Suite will lower operating expenses and maximise user productivity.
The new application is based on Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, Oracle Solaris and Oracle VM Server for SPARC.
Oracle Engineering vice president Ganesh Ramamurthy said the Oracle Optimized Solution for Oracle E-Business Suite delivers high volume batch and OLTP performance with mission critical availability and disaster recovery for Oracle E-Business Suite environments, while reducing risk and enabling significant savings in TCO.
"Built on the SPARC SuperCluster, our newest solution takes advantage of Oracle hardware and software engineered together to deliver the high performance and availability needed for business-critical applications," Ramamurthy said.
Oracle said the new application will deliver up to 56% lower acquisition cost versus new IBM POWER7 and HP Superdome2-based configurations and up to 40% lower five-year TCO when consolidating existing IBM and HP infrastructure, while reducing rackspace footprint up to 73%.
With the new application, customers can meet service level agreements (SLAs) and expedite Oracle E-Business Suite deployments by up to 5x using tested, documented sizing guides and High Availability practices.
In addition, customers can also enhance their Oracle E-Business Suite and other application environments using the Oracle Optimized Solution for Backup and Recovery.
It also provides virtually unlimited scalability and no-single points of failure with a flexible multi-tier architecture to meet SLAs as data capacity grows.
Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c will enable customers to manage and monitor their infrastructure with a single tool, streamlining management and simplifying operations.
The Oracle Advanced Customer Support Services and Oracle Premier Support Services provides mission critical support for Oracle E-Business Suite upgrade and consolidation projects.
