Oco has unveiled a new upgrade to its Software-as-a-Service business intelligence (SaaS BI) offering, which it claims to include enhancements to enable customers to meet advanced enterprise SaaS BI requirements, such as integration of data from SAP applications and multi-national deployments.

The Oco 4.0 includes new performance and usability enhancements that support global use of the system on a 24×7 basis with no interruptions for system administration, data loading, etc. It also supports multi-byte, multi-national character sets for reporting on internationalised data from any geography, the company said.

The company said the new version offers enterprise SaaS BI Mash-up support with single sign-on enhancements enabling customers to integrate Oco with other enterprise web applications. Content from external systems such as maps, calendars, images, etc., can be integrated into Oco dashboards to create engaging new BI offerings.

According to Oco, the new version includes Data Exporter for SAP that enables users to explore and extract the original data from SAP ERP and SAP CRM instances even those that have been highly customised and transport it into the Oco cloud-based analytical data store for on-demand BI reporting and analysis.

In addition, Oco 4.0 integrates with the recently launched SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand to provide ad-hoc analytics and reporting needs to customers.

William Copacino, president and CEO of Oco, said: “SAP application customers often require months to design, build and maintain data integration and data warehouses for analysing SAP data.

“With our new connectivity to SAP applications, customers can take a more turn-key approach and deliver BI offerings for SAP faster, at lower cost and with less risk of delivery delay.”
