Networking offerings provider Netgear, and backup and security offerings provider Acronis, have signed a technology partnership to offer joint data management solutions for channel partners serving small and mid-sized businesses.
Netgear said the combination of ReadyNAS network storage and Acronis image-based backup and recovery software lowers backup and recovery times from hours to seconds over tape-based offerings.
Channel partners can deliver backup, restore and disaster recovery offerings that cover both physical and virtual environments, solving replication, disaster recovery, and individual file restore problems.
Customers considering tape replacement or migrating to virtual environments can now perform complete system backup and recovery times at disk and wire speeds.
Acronis vice president of business development Izzy Azeri said that working together, both companies will enable businesses to get a powerful storage and back-up solution at competitive and affordable price points.
