Nasdaq has deployed the VirtualWisdom IPM platform to ensure the performance and availability of their IT infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.

Targeting 24/7 efficiency, VirtualWisdom has provided Nasdaq with real-time monitoring of tier-1 database servers, receiving frame-by-frame visibility into the Fibre Channel traffic.

This, Virtual Instruments claim, is something no other vendor could be able to provide.

The platform has also allowed Nasdaq to gain insight into any system-wide issues that the host and storage tools are unable to accurately represent.

By monitoring the operational efficiency of each layer and touch point, VirtualWisdom helps identify and resolve any bottlenecks, which enhances Nasdaq’s ability to make immediate adjustments for optimal performance.

"Nasdaq’s choice of the VirtualWisdom platform for its performance monitoring and management needs is a testament to the benefits our solution brings," said John W. Thompson, chief executive officer of Virtual Instruments.

"With the ongoing shift to workload-centric Infrastructure Performance Management, it’s clear that Nasdaq is well aligned with thought-leaders in our industry and positioning themselves for the future. VirtualWisdom provides performance teams with highly accurate, unrivalled visibility into the performance of the entire open-systems stack, helping to improve overall system performance while driving better cost performance and improved risk management for infrastructure transformation."
