MicroStrategy offers reporting software package for BI applications

MicroStrategy, a provider of business intelligence (BI) software, has unveiled a free reporting software package for departmental BI applications.

MicroStrategy said that the new reporting suite enables companies to use its integrated BI platform to develop and deploy web-based reporting applications. It enables business users to create reports needed to gain insights into business data and make analytically-based decisions.

According to MicroStrategy, users can view data in detailed tabular grid reports, graph data to analyse information, drill-down to investigate root causes, make ad hoc queries, manage business performance with arithmetic and statistical metrics, and export data to Excel and PDF. It also allows organisations to merge departmental applications into a cohesive BI environment to ensure data consistency across the enterprise.

The company said that the new Reporting Suite includes an Intelligence Server and Web Reporter with a one CPU limit. It offers free online support, which includes access to its online searchable knowledge repository, online community forum, video guides and online education.
