Microsoft has provided Umniah with a business intelligence application to help the mobile telecommunications operator improve its business performance and competitive position in the Jordanian market by driving better decision making.
This comes as part of a continuation of Microsoft’s partnership with Umniah, where Microsoft technologies are an enabler to driving Umniah’s innovation in the market, and allows Umniah to continuously upgrade the services it provides to its customers.
The Microsoft business intelligence (BI) application has the capability of processing mass amounts of data as well as bringing together and organizing information across the organization, to provide Umniah’s employees with reliable access to information they need to make informed decisions, so they can respond swiftly and appropriately to changing conditions that impact their business.
Microsoft BI is powered by Microsoft SQL Server and delivered through Microsoft 2007 Office interface, which provides Umniah with the ability to build and deploy BI applications for everyone throughout the company, while keeping costs under control.
