By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft has released its latest Office 2013 suite to the general public following the release for business customers in December 2012.

Claimed to be the most ‘ambitious’ version of the productivity suite yet, the new Office 2013 offers touch friendly design that emphasises features like socia medial, reading, note-taking, meetings and communications.

The new suite is more more cloud-based, as documents will be saved in a SkyDrive.

The launch of Office 2013 marks Microsoft’s revamp of third-party add-ons as applications. The company has also created a store allows developers to share their apps to all Office users.

Additional features and applications will be delivered to subscribers via the cloud service, while Office apps can also incorporate ausers’ real-time data.
