Mezeo Software, a provider of cloud storage platform, has entered into a partnership with IceWEB, a provider of on-line cloud computing application services. The combined platform enables service providers to deploy their own service enabled cloud storage offering.

The companies said that the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform and IceWEB’s Iplicity Cloud Storage Appliance provides multi-tenant cloud storage offering that can be deployed in a centrally managed private storage cloud or in a hybrid public/private cloud configuration.

Reportedly, the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform offers SSL encryption of files in transfer and 256-bit AES encryption for data at rest and includes RESTful Web Services APIs, which allow service providers to offer cloud storage services. Users have anytime/anywhere access to stored files via the web, smartphones (BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile) and desktop using the Mezeo Native client for Windows and WebDAV-based connectivity for Linux and Mac.

Steve Lesem, president and CEO of Mezeo, said: Service providers looking to break into the cloud storage market are wanting to do so as quickly and affordably as possible. The Mezeo and IceWEB solution provides all the necessary building blocks to quickly set up a service-enabled storage cloud with minimal complexity.

“We are all about security and dependability, so we appreciate that Iplicity enables network support staff to easily manage the cloud storage solution by growing volumes, reconfiguring network connectivity and creating multiple automatic replications of useable data at diverse locations in real time, without impacting overall systems availability.
