Marvell Technology Group has reported revenue of $896.5m for the second quarter of FY11, an increase of 40% as compared to $641m of the same period last fiscal.
For the quarter ended July 31, 2010, the company reported an operating income of $218.1m, as compared to $68m in the same period last year.
Marvell Technology posted a net income of $220m and $0.33 EPS, as compared to net income of $58.5m and $0.09 EPS of the same period last year.
Marvell chairman and chief executive officer Sehat Sutardja said that the company experienced significant revenue growth in mobile and wireless end market which increased over 50% sequentially, and over 140% year over year, while revenue from the networking end market grew 4% sequentially, and over 30% year over year.
