Enterprise software company MarkLogic has introduced MarkLogic 5, the latest version of product designed for Big Data applications across the enterprise.
The company said its latest version defines Big Data by enabling organisations to build Big Data applications that make information actionable.
MarkLogic 5 allows a complete view of the health of the enterprise by enabling organisations to get answers faster by analysing structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data in the same application, the company said.
MarkLogic 5 can manage complexity of data environment, provides MarkLogic Connector for Hadoop; confidence at scale; and offers enterprise-grade features for Big Data.
With the latest version, organisations can manage the complex unstructured information driving the Big Data movement by offering rich media support and document filters.
MarkLogic Connector for Hadoop integrates large-scale batch processing with the real time Big Data applications and the connector use Hadoop MapReduce to enrich and aggregate data inside MarkLogic for richer analytics.
With MarkLogic 5, organisations that require a Big Data offering can meet the standards of scale and reliability and provides database replication and point-in-time recovery.
In addition, organisations get more enterprise-grade features to tackle Big Data challenges by providing tiered storage; simplified Monitoring and additional plug-ins.
