LogiXML targets web-based BI with System 9

Privately held US-based LogiXML has announced Logi 9, the latest release of its business intelligence platform.

By CBR Staff Writer

The company, which took on a $5m funding round from Updata Partners at the end of last year, said the web-based BI suite suits small-to-mid-sized as well as larger organizations.

Key upgrades include more user-friendly and Web 2.0-style elements, a wide variety of visualization and personalization options, and a Widget-building tool.

Logi 9 also introduces a new extract, transform, and load (ETL) product that enables data integration, and new data management features and scalability capabilities via the Logi Hybrid Data Engine.

Logi 9 will be compatible with .NET as well as Java. A Java version of the flagship Logi info is available now, with support for the rest of the suite rolling out this year.

The company said the new Logi Hybrid Data Engine in Logi 9 empowers organizations to process reports that access large numbers of records or to support a large volume of users. It said the Logi Hybrid Data Engine can be tuned to balance user and system requirements to deliver performance and scalability.

Founded in 2000, and based in McLean, Virginia, it claims to offer the most affordable BI solution on the market thanks to its server-based pricing model.
