LenovoEMC along with Acronis has launched new data protection and backup system, Lenovo EMC px Series Acronis Backup Appliance that offers protection for business information storage on servers, PCs and NAS.
The new system combines LenovoEMC storage technology with backup software from Acronis and offers all-in-one backup and recovery appliance with data protection strategy for businesses.
According to the company, the system provides multiple layers and locations for data protection and offers protection for the client PCs and servers by backing them up to the NAS.
LenovoEMC president and general manager Eric Arcese said, "Our new Lenovo EMC px Acronis Backup Appliance seamlessly combines leading-edge hardware with innovative backup software in a single high-performance solution that doesn’t need or require any additional hardware or third-party software."
Lenovo EMC px Series Acronis Backup Appliance offers up to 48TB of raw data storage and will also be available in high performance desktop models that feature two to six-drive bays as well as 1U and 2U rackmount arrays with about 12 bays.
The new backup appliance also feature OEM versions of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 for Windows and Linux Servers that create a disk-image backup to the NAS containing the server operating system, applications and data.
Other standard data protection features of the backup system include snapshots with VSS, EMC Atmos Cloud Connector, EMC Avamar data deduplication, RAID protection with hot swap drives, UPS support, and device-to-device data replication.
