Kxen, a provider of data mining automation applications, has appointed John Ball as the new chief executive officer. He has 20 years of experience in enterprise software, business intelligence and CRM applications.
Prior to joining Kxen, Mr Ball served in various executive roles at salesforce.com, a provider of SaaS applications. Most recently, he served as VP and general manager of Analytics and Reporting Products, where he spearheaded salesforce.com’s foray into CRM analytics and business intelligence. He also served as VP and general manager of service and support applications at Salesforce.com.
Before salesforce.com, Mr Ball was founder and CEO of Netonomy, a provider of customer self-service offerings for the telecommunications industry. He also held a various executive roles at Business Objects, including general manager, web products.
Kxen founder and former CEO, Roger Haddad, remains as chairman of the board and will continue to play an advisory role in the company’s future. Kxen customers include Bank of America, Barclays, Cox Communications, Lowe’s, Meredith, Overstock.com, Rogers, Vodafone, and Wells Fargo.
