Includes iReport Professional, graphical report designer and Java reporting
Jaspersoft, a provider of business intelligence (BI) software, has released JasperReports Professional with Flash-based geo-visualisation and improved charting capabilities. It is also releasing a new JasperReports Professional Developer Edition.
The company said that JasperReports Professional includes a new professional edition of iReport, a visual report designer developed for JasperReports. iReport Professional gives developers and report designers control over the design and the look of every report.
In addition, iReport Professional allows designers to create flash-based and production-ready reports in virtually any style-dashboards, maps, tables, crosstabs, charts, and gauges. iReport is a Java application, which is available as a rich client or a NetBeans IDE plug-in.
The new additional features to the JasperReports Professional include: Java reporting engine for embedded environments; graphical report designer to empower report development; an enhanced runtime reporting engine; interactive chart design with several supplied flash charts, graphs, and widgets; geo-visualisation with drill down capability with flash maps; and multiple data source and report output support.
Jaspersoft said that the new JasperReports Professional is available in both developer and production runtime packages starting at $249 per user and $4,600 per production server.
