Storage and network security applications provider Iomega, an EMC company, has expanded its networks solutions portfolio with the addition of a rackmount NAS for SMBs and remote work groups.
The company said the four-drive Iomega StorCenter Pro ix4-200r NAS, powered by EMC LifeLine OS, offers file sharing, data throughput, cross-platform support, and enterprise-level features. It provides up to 4TB of storage, iSCSI block-level access, multiple RAID configurations, Windows Active Directory support, remote access and management, and VMware Ready certification.
It includes a 3.2 GHz Intel Celeron processor, 1GB system memory and one Gigabit Ethernet connection, multiple network protocols, video surveillance, advanced media support, data backup and protection with integrated EMC Retrospect Express, RSA BSAFE encryption security technology, and compatibility with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.

The 2TB Iomega StorCenter Pro ix4-200r NAS Rackmount Server costs $1,800, and the 4TB model costs $2,800.
