Intelligent Computer has released the Image MASSter Solo-4 IT Portable, Stand-Alone Duplicator, which it claims to duplicate and sanitise hard drives at speeds exceeding 7GB/min.
The Image MASSter Solo-4 IT, based on the Image MASSter product line, provides native interface support for SAS, S-ATA and external USB2.0 drives; and offers write-protected Source position for SAS, SATA and USB2.0 drives to protect the user’s Source images.
The company claims that the unit can be configured to duplicate two source drives simultaneously with no speed degradation. Alternately, the unit can be configured to duplicate from one source drive to three target drives.
According to Intelligent Computer, the new units include an IDE adapter to support PATA drives and optional adapters are available for 1.8-inch, ZIF, 2.5-inch laptop drives and Flash Media including Compact Flash, Memory Sticks, SD, Micro SD and Multimedia Cards.
In addition, the units also include a built-in 1GB Ethernet connection to allow images to be stored to or download from Storage Area Networks (SAN) and offers the multipass DoD (Department of Defense) standard, single pass user defined, or the secure erase feature.
The Image MASSter Solo-4 IT is based on Windows Embedded Operating System featuring a large, colour touch screen display with an intuitive user interface. An Optional Expansion Box, equipped with three PCI-e slots provides expandability support for SCSI, FireWire or Fibre Channel devices.
