Atrato has revealed that InQuinox has integrated Atrato’s Velocity1000 (V1000) Series into its enterprise class PureDisk appliances. InQuinox’s SD3 appliance is a purpose-built product for Symantec NetBackup users who want to increase ease of use for the PureDisk deduplication software.
InQuinox’s offering provides a platform for organisations looking to implement PureDisk deduplication software in their data center or remote offices. The company said that the modular system scales from 32 terabytes of storage to as much as 1 petabyte within 25 rack units, thereby minimising customers’ data storage footprint and saving on energy and maintenance costs.
InQuinox claims that its Storage on Demand remote upgrade capability makes it easy to scale SD3 to meet expanding deduplication needs quickly by licensing more capacity. SD3 appliances are self-healing, and are warranted to keep running a minimum of three years uninterrupted with zero disk maintenance, added the company.
