US-based enterprise application software developing firm Infor has acquired the cloud-based talent analytics firm PeopleAnswers for an undisclosed sum.

PeopleAnswers has developed a cloud based service which can analyse a job seekers’ behavioural traits which helps in hiring.

Assuming that right attitudes, not skills, are the best indicators of success at work, Dallas-based PeopleAnswers system analyses 39 behavioural traits of candidates and gives a rating based on them.

PeopleAnswers’ cloud-based talent science platform is claimed to offer analytical analysis of the human capital management by assessing their attributes include ambition, discipline, energy, acceptance of authority, attention to detail, flexibility, conscientiousness, and empathy.

The technology is expected to help Infor in making a human capital management (HCM) suite.

The analysis firm uses behavioural science to help the HR department to asses key behaviours of employees by assessing their Performance Profiles and Behavioural DNA to enable companies to hire, reward and promote.

Infor CEO Charles Phillips said evaluating talent is one of the most important decisions for a manager, but these decisions are hindered by uncertainty and a lack of data.

"PeopleAnswers has pioneered the concept of HCM big data and behavioral science that delivers a patented, cloud-based product available in 16 languages that has become the gold standard for hiring best practices," Phillips said.

"Through this acquisition, we will not only expand our HR offering, but we will add a cadre of scientists to move beyond simply automating processes to push the envelope on big data and HCM innovation."
