IFS North America has introduced an extension to IFS Applications 7.5, which provides business intelligence (BI) dashboards that publish metadata, including views, information sources and online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes that can support various business intelligence analysis methods.

The company said that the IFS business intelligence dashboards offerings provides access to IFS Applications data via the IFS business intelligence adapter and pre-built role-based dashboards, which contain components needed for business analysis of various functional areas of IFS applications.

The new dashboard uses standard Microsoft tools provided in SQL Server and SharePoint Server Enterprise, to provide the information for display in a visually intuitive and interactive fashion.

The company said that the BI dashboards are published using Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise, which enables them to be accessed outside of IFS applications directly on the SharePoint Site, or they can be accessed from within the IFS Enterprise Explorer (IEE) client.

Each dashboard consists of components including analysis cubes, Visio services, a decomposition tree analytical tool and Report Builder charts that provide links to IFS Applications screens directly from the dashboard.
