IceWEB, a provider of unified data storage and building blocks for cloud storage networks, has expanded its family of advanced storage systems with the launch of 5000 HR (Highly Redundant) storage system.

According to IceWEB, the new storage system comes with added features and capabilities including, high redundancy provided by clustered controllers and redundant, hot-swap components; scalability to 448 Terabytes (TB); support for SATA, SAS and SSD drives; and unified storage, managing both file and block data in one system.

In addition, the new storage system offers data protection capabilities; storage services such as deduplication and WORM; ability to manage third-party storage from other vendors; VMware ready; and plug and play for fast setup together with an interface that makes it simple to manage storage.
