Unified Data Storage provider IceWEB has introduced its new Model 6500 High Performance and High-Availability Cluster Unified Storage Platform.
The new Model 6500 Cluster platform contains dual, multiprocessor controllers, redundant nodes, shared storage and no single-point of failure and the platform protects against hardware and network failures; eliminates unplanned downtime for storage hardware and software upgrades; and minimises change management time by automatically mirroring configuration changes.
In addition, the new platform delivers ultra-high performance as each of its four, multi-core 2.93 Gigahertz processors has 12 megabytes of cache and 96 Gigabytes of memory expandable to 192 Gigabytes.
The Model 6500 Cluster also comes with four 200 Gigabit Solid State Drives (SSD) and its L2ARC and ZIL hybrid array technologies dramatically accelerate Input/Output Operations (IOPS) and the Cluster utilises storage volume sharing and its dual, multiprocessor storage controllers monitor each other for failures, with heartbeats, network monitoring and fencing.
Model 6500 Cluster combines odual multiprocessor controllers; clustering, CRC and the use of hybrid-storage pool SSD caching which makes the ideal for high-performance, I/O intensive applications and for high-availability mission-critical applications.
IceWEB Sales vice-president Tim McNamee said IceWEB seeing an exploding market for faster, larger, fail-safe unified storage platforms from customers with critical business data and challenging workloads.
