Ibackup unveils online backup, disaster recovery offering for educational institutions

Enables these institutions to protect localised data pertaining to records, exams, or research

Online backup firm Ibackup has unveiled a secure online data backup and disaster recovery offering for schools and educational institutions, to protect localised data pertaining to records, exams, or research.

The new offering includes disaster recovery (DR) for a comprehensive DR and hot sites offering and multi-year archive for any parameter based full copy of data for future use.

The Ibackup offering also includes Web-based access to user account, including drag-n-drop, sharing and direct edit; and folders and sub-accounts to map specific folders to individual accounts.

The new tool provides backups across platforms and databases, such as open file backup, exchange server, MS SQL Server and Oracle server database backups, as well data backup on the Windows, Linux and Mac platforms.

Ibackup claims that its new data backup offering provides a reliable and cost effective solution, and enables schools to recognise the advantages of having online backup solution to backup their critical digital information.
