HP has unveiled new communication, collaboration, networking and storage offerings, which it claims to help streamline communications and operations for small and midsize businesses (SMBs).

The new offerings include, HP and Microsoft Unified Communication & Collaboration system that combines servers, storage, networking and software to streamline operations across messaging, video and voice applications.

The company also introduced HP Virtual Rooms application that helps enterprises to connect employees, partners and clients in a virtual online location; and 48Upper online services that enables IT pros to manage processes.

According to HP, the new offerings that advance the convergence of servers, storage, networking and management include, V1410 Switch that features eight-, 16- and 24-port gigabit options, and provides ‘plug and play’ connectivity among client PCs, servers and storage devices; and StorageWorks X310 Data Vault that offers deduplication and backup functionality.

The HP StorageWorks X1000 Network Storage System provides up to twice the drives of previous generations in half the space; and StorageWorks P2000 G3 SAS Modular Array (MSA), which features new 6Gb Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) technology and provides shared storage consolidation without the additional networking cost, the company said.

In addition, HP also introduced new services for customer support including, Download Store, which offers clients the choice of six pay-as-you-go support and collaboration services; PC Helpdesk and Windows 7 Onsite Upgrade Service; Insight Remote Support software; HP Business Support Center Forums; Proactive Select Services; and Sustainability Reporting tool.
