HP has brought to the market the 3PAR StoreServ Storage 20000 all-flash storage solution, aimed at accelerating adoption in data centres.

The 3PAR StoreServ Storage solution costs 25% less and features flash optimised data services that are designed to accelerate IT-as-a-Service consolidation.

The 3PAR StoreServ Storage 20000 will offer over 3.2 million IOPS at sub-millisecond latency, while using up to 85% less space than traditional arrays. The 3PAR StoreServ Storage 20000 will be priced at $1.50 per usable gigabyte.

Manish Goel, SVP, HP Storage, said: "Early flash adopters are seeing added benefits such as extreme savings and productivity enhancements that are leading to an all-flash strategy for more applications."

"HP 3PAR StoreServ is in a class of its own, with the affordability, scale and resiliency required for data center-wide flash adoption."

This release will be the largest capacity solid state drive in a tier-1-all flash array and will combine flash optimisation and hardware-accelerated data compaction in order to increase the usable capacity by 75%.

This is powered by the HP 3PAR Gen5 Thin Express ASIC and uses Persistent Checksum to ensure end-to-end data integrity from the application server to the storage array.

Additionally, HP has developed a 3PAR Remote Copy integration with HP StoreOnce Recovery Manager. StoreOnce serves the purpose of enabling application managed snapshots and automatic movement of data.
