Hadoop market set for 58.2% CAGR growth

News: Market to benefit from enterprise boom in the APAC region.

By Joao Lima

Open-source software framework Hadoop is set for a market growth at 58.2% CAGR between 2013 and 2020.

A report has found the main cause for this growth to be the increasing volume of unstructured and structured data in business enterprises.

The need for cheaper data processing solutions and big data analytics are also driving the market expansion for Hadoop.

According to Big Market Research’s "Global Hadoop Market – Industry Growth, Size, Share, Insights, Analysis, Research, Report, Opportunities, Trends and Forecasts Through 2020", the full potential market growth for Hadoop is being restrained due to emerging security issues associated with its technology services and distributed computing platforms.

The report also suggests the global Hadoop market to experience growth opportunities in the APAC region due to increase in the global expansion of business organisations in the region.
