Google for Entrepreneurs

According to GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) there are approximately 400 million entrepreneurs across 54 countries.

Google wants to give entrepreneurs worldwide a push in the right direction through supportive partnerships and programmes.

Google for Entrepreneurs plans to focus on three main areas:

1. Partnerships with strong organizations that serve entrepreneurs in local communities

2. Google-led programs to bring our teams and our tools directly to entrepreneurs

3. Placing relevant Google tools in the hands of startups as they are getting off the ground and ready to scale

The company has already partnered with the annual journey of entrepreneurship through India as well as partnering with several accelerator and incubator programmes around the globe including iHub in Kenya and Le Camping in France.

Google is also partnering this week with Women 2.0 to support current and aspiring female entrepreneurs.

Google will be hosting its first annual Google for Entrepreneurs week with plans to bring together over 3,000 entreprenurs and Google users worldwide.

Google is teaming up with companies to help Googlers in 13 different countries host events to provide expertise to local entrepreneurs.

"Startups and entrepreneurs have the power to build technologies and creative solutions that transform the world and move us forward," said Mary Grove, Head of Global Entrepreneurship Outreach at Google. Innovation is happening everywhere."
