Fujitsu Frontech North America has introduced PerfectSearch powered by Fujitsu appliance NuVola Private Cloud Platform Appliance, where PerfectSearch is a company that provides enterprise search technology.

The PerfectSearch combines search technology with Fujitsu’s server hardware to deliver the powerful search, offering a single query for indexing and searching all content, cost effectively.

The new offering is powerful and economical compared to open-source offerings, with lower equipment cost and fewer servers that reduce energy, replacement and administrative costs, the company claims.

The appliance uses a technology that uses disk-based indexing which provides up to a 90% reduction in search-related hardware, resulting high-speed retrieval, drastically reduced hardware footprints, and extensive customisation.

FFNA Sales and Marketing vice-president Vic Herring said the introduction of the PerfectSearch powered by Fujitsu Private Cloud Platform appliance gives Fujitsu’s customers the consolidated power to globally federate, index, and search their entire cloud network.

"What this means is that organisations can go from zero-to-cloud in a rapid, turnkey fashion, and gain true control over their files, databases and disparate servers within their enterprise. This delivers unprecedented improvements in network and application search performance, as well as immediate increase in data security and integrity," said Herring.

Perfect Search CEO Tim Stay said Perfect Search’s innovative search technology suits for the high-performance Fujitsu servers.

"The combination of our super-charged search engine with the robust NuVola Private Cloud Platform creates a powerful solution for search of storage repositories, for search in the cloud, and for search of big data, with better performance and lower costs than other options," said Stay.
