Fujitsu introduces ETERNUS DX60 S2 storage system

Consolidate and centralise data management, and ensure reliable storage for SMBs

Fujitsu, a provider of information and communications technology (ICT) offerings, has introduced ETERNUS DX60 S2 storage system.

The company said the ETERNUS DX60 S2 is a cost-effective entry level storage system which can meet the increasing data management needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The new storage system, which is expandable to 72TB of storage, provides enhanced performance, flexibility and ease of operation removing the complexity of managing and storing increasing volumes of essential data at affordable costs, claims the company.

Fujitsu’s storage system consolidate and centralise data management, and ensure reliable storage for branch offices. It also supports entire IT operations, including business critical applications and databases, virtualised servers, and business data warehouses.

With the integration of ETERNUS systems with existing IT infrastructure, host operating systems, multi-vendor servers, network infrastructures and backup offerings, tasks can be performed faster which significantly reduces administration time and effort, the company said.

Fujitsu director Tosh Kataoka said the new entry level ETERNUS DX60 S2 is the centerpiece of Fujitsu’s channel storage programme, providing SMBs with tailored systems for their specific needs and delivering major opportunities for their partners.

ETERNUS DX60 S2 now expand to 24 RAID disk drives to meet business needs. The extension of host attachment through iSCSI and SAS connections in addition to Fibre Channel helps maximise customer investments in existing IT resources, the company said.
