FarStone Technology has released new TreasureStone line of backup and recovery appliances which supports iSCSI (IPSAN) storage. The new plug and play networked backup and recovery appliance is available in 5TB, 8TB (2U), and 15TB (3U) capacity.
Reportedly, TreasureStone backs up to a remote server and provides services for branch offices to automatically backup data to corporate headquarters with the plug and play design.
FarStone said that the new appliance is integrated with its DriveClone Enterprise Server software. The integrated technology is expected to safeguard user’s network from a central location providing no operation downtime due to system crashes.
According to FarStone, the new TreasureStone features and benefits include: a bandwidth of up to 850Mbytes per second; drive interface support SATA-II support; RAID support RAID Levels 0, 1, 1+0 and 5; protect network with an administrative console; reduce backup management time with customisable scheduler; and bare metal recovery from window crashes.
Earlier in March, FarStone Technology has unveiled TreasureStone Backup and Recovery Server, which features a 1000 MBPS network speed and supports Open File Backup – backup Oracle, Exchange Server, Share Point Server, and SQL Server in real time.
