Exelon selects Guidance Software’s EnCase eDiscovery solution

Power and natural gas distributor Exelon has selected digital investigations systems provider Guidance Software's EnCase eDiscovery for search, collection, preservation and processing of electronically stored information.

By CBR Staff Writer

The solution performs automated search, collection, and preservation of electronically stored information (ESI) residing in unstructured and semi-structured data stores such as desktops, laptops, file servers, email servers, content management systems, and removable storage media, without any business disruption.

Guidance Software said that the solution’s extensive processing capabilities enable post-collection culling and deduplication of data, as well as load file creation for attorney review platforms, allowing customers to drastically reduce processing costs.

Victor Limongelli, president and CEO of Guidance Software, said: Guidance Software is pleased to add another Fortune 500 company to an impressive list of customers who have made the decision to purchase EnCase eDiscovery software. Based on our prior experience with energy and utility companies, we are confident that EnCase eDiscovery will enable Exelon to reduce costs and mitigate business risks.
