Easeus, the security and storage management software producer, has released its free system backup software Todo Backup. The new free backup software is designed for system state backup and system disaster restore.
Easeus said that the new backup software helps users to avoid the system reinstallation, if there is any system crash due to virus infections, false operation, wrong deletion, or other unexpected accidents.
According to Easeus, the new backup software offers two choices for users to backup their systems: first is to backup the system partition to an image and store it on CD/DVD, external hard drive or any other safe place and then restore it if the system crashes; or to ‘clone’ the entire hard disk with the system installed to another disk.
In addition, the settings in the ‘Option’ column are designed to be personalised. Users can set all options themselves, according to their needs, including: compress image files to save space; split image files to fit different storage devices; exclude page files or temp files and encrypt image files to prevent illegal access to the backup image, the company said.
EASEUS Todo Backup is free to use for both home and business users. It supports Windows systems, like Windows 2000 professional/XP/Vista and Windows Server 2000/2003/2008.
