Dynamic Solutions International (DSI), a provider of data storage products, has launched a DSI3020 PCIe solid state disk (SSD) storage expansion card, which is designed to boost performance by providing a larger and faster data buffer zone.

Dynamic Solutions said that as a server-based product, the DSI3020 flash storage expansion card is suitable for data centres that have maximised their RAM and require a product to improve their storage capacity.

Dynamic Solutions claims that the new DSI3020 card offering a capacity of 450GB responds faster than external flash drives and controllers, and is suitable for businesses architectures where external SAN/NAS is not currently required.

The company said that the DSI3020 storage expansion card is engineered for deployment without any external controllers, cables or cabinetry, and installs easily.

Chris Johnson, vice president of storage systems at Dynamic Solutions, said: “The DSI3020 PCIe storage expansion card is yet another advancement in our line of SSD products that is highly reliable and cost-effective. The DSI3020 significantly boosts performance and is a great alternative to increasing capacity without having to implement disk drives.”

Earlier in June, Dynamic Solutions has released virtual tape library product for data backup and recovery – DSI9000 version 2.1 – with features that allow a user to copy directly to backend tape and optional features that provide data de-duplication, encryption and replication functionality.
