Dmailer, a provider of backup and synchronisation offerings for external storage drives, has launched a new version of its software product Backup V2.9.

The company said that the new offering is an integrated local and online backup offering, allowing multiple backup sets across PC or Mac, using a single interface. It includes online storage service, Dmailer Online, which allows users to safeguard data by backing up secure copies to a remote server, and will be bundled with the new Lexar Echo SE and ZE USB backup drives.

According to Dmailer, Backup V2.9 with Dmailer Online includes, Backup Manager, a software utility that allows users to automatically backup their data when they turn on their computer; Cross-Platform Restore, a backup software application that allows users to backup PC and Mac platforms and restore data without installing any additional software.

In addition, Backup V2.9 also includes several features found in previous versions of the software including, support for Windows 7, profile changes within application, online folder sharing and one-click online restore.
