Dell has unveiled new technology, services, management tools and business ready solutions that preserve choice and help customers reduce the time required to build, manage and maintain an efficient datacenter.

The new offerings include Dell EqualLogic storage products, Dell PowerConnect networking solutions and Dell PowerEdge blade servers, all built on industry-standards, in addition to new Dell Storage, Virtualization and Support services.

Dell said the new open and modular technology offerings enables customers to innovate without locking organizations into proprietary technology, besides reducing cost and complexity by combining technologies in pre-configured bundles as business ready configurations.

The product hardware and systems management capabilities critical to deploying and running various data center elements have been pre-integrated to deliver significant efficiencies in both OPEX and CAPEX.

The Dell EqualLogic and Dell PowerVault Storage Platforms include EqualLogic PS6000XVS and PS6010XVS storage arrays for improving density and performance, PowerVault MD3200 and PowerVault MD3200i storage arrays for small and medium sized businesses.

The PowerEdge Servers and Systems Management Capabilities include PowerEdge M710HD blade server for virtual workloads, PowerEdge M610x for database for acceleartion and expanded graphics capabilities, PowerEdge R715 rack server for large memory and the M1000e chassis, among others.

Dell PowerConnect Networking Solutions include PowerConnect J-Series EX8200 family for high performance switching and routing, PowerConnect J-Series EX4200 family for smaller data center, PowerConnect J-Series SRX family of Service Gateway products for security, and PowerConnect 8024 Ethernet switch for aggregation and unified fabric deployments, among others.

Dell’s new storage, virtualization and support services include Data Management Consulting Services for EqualLogic to accelerate the integration of the EqualLogic PS series into the data center, Dell ProSupport Proactive Maintenance for EqualLogic and Dell Virtualization Consulting for efficiency.

Dell claims that the new products, which can be integrated seamlessly into Dell solutions for government, healthcare and education organizations, will drive organizational and application agility so as to enable customers focus on innovation instead of basic maintenance.
