Dell simplifies storage management

Dell has introduced a storage assessment package to simplify the evaluation and selection of storage, backup, recovery, and archiving.

By CBR Staff Writer

It said Storage Simplification Assessments is a data-management and storage-technology assessment tool that provides a detailed analysis of the existing storage infrastructure and suggests extra storage technologies needed. The portfolio also includes server virtualization assessment, backup, restore, and archive assessment and analysis.

Dell said it will enable customers to improve the management and scalability of storage and backup infrastructure to cope with the increased volume of data in traditional and virtualized settings.

Paul Kaeley, practice leader storage consulting at Dell, said: For many customers, storage infrastructure has become unnecessarily difficult to manage. Dell’s new Storage Simplification assessments identify the core issues driving complexity and provide a path to simplifying customers’ storage and backup environments.
