Dell has introduced its Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance 1000, a new data warehousing application that will enable mid-sized organisations to derive business insights from existing data.
The new application will allow the organisations, even those with limited resources, to leverage information to make improved, informed business decisions, the company said.
Dell Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance is powered by new Dell PowerEdge 12th generation servers and the new Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Data Warehouse Appliance Edition.
The new data warehousing application also includes Dell Boomi for easy integration of data from any source including cloud.
Dell also provides start-up and training services to give clients a successful start, as well as privides quarterly health checks to ensure smooth functioning.
Dell Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance 1000 includes a platform that supports up to 5TB of user data and offers optimal performance in a minimal footprint.
It also includes a lightweight subscription-based data integration service that integrates data from any source using a visual interface.
The new release includes latest server and SQL Server database platform technologies from Dell and Microsoft in an integrated package, with Dell support to minimise risk.
Microsoft Product Marketing general manager Doug Leland said the Dell Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance is the first such appliance to market on SQL Server 2012.
"The enhanced data warehouse features, such as xVelocity In-memory ColumnStore, which dramatically speeds up query performance, and optimizes resources with data compression, help partners like Dell deliver powerful solutions to mid-market customers," Leland said.
