Datric has unveiled a new product line of data warehouse appliances, Agile DWS (Data Warehouse Solutions). The new product line combines implementation methodology, metadata lifecycle management, MPP database, ETL and visual analytics into an appliance platform.
Datric claims that Agile DWS provides offerings within an enterprise framework – the combination of tactical results and a strategic platform. With one-stop shopping and support, Agile DWS is expected to reduce total costs and implementation time by 50%.
The company said that Agile DWS provides a data source-to-consumption offering through the combination of products and services. It includes, metadata management, models, mapping and predefined content provided by Agile Data Suite (ADS) from Datric; dashboards, visual analysis and ad-hoc reporting provided by Tableau Data Visualisation from Tableau Software.
Reportedly, data is stored and managed through the Vertica Analytic Database from Vertica on a HP BladeSystem c3000 or c7000 platform and data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) are provided through SyncSort DMExpress.

This appliance represents a combination of products in a single supported platform for deployment across all price ranges. In addition to an enterprise class data warehouse, ADS DWS predefined business models and support for industry standards further reduce implementation time and effort, the company claims.
The company said that predefined models and accelerators are currently available for enterprise resource planning (ERP), financial consolidation, supply chain and K-12 education.
