CommVault has announced a new content based retention solution that enables enterprises to only keep data that is important to the business.

The new Simpana Reference Copy software integrates data management and content based retention in a bid to lower the cost, complexity and risk of storing business data.
This can help to reduce the long term storage costs and capacity needs by up to 70% when compared to traditional approaches to data retention.
