Clarabridge releases new version of content mining platform

Claims to improve text mining and analysis speed

By CBR Staff Writer

Clarabridge, a provider of text analytics products, has released version 3.3 of its Content Mining Platform (CMP), which it claims to improve text mining and analysis speed while decreasing storage requirements for customers.

According to Clarabridge, the new version leverages 64-bit processors and includes support for enterprise security standards such as SAML (Security Assertions Markup Language) and SSO (Single Sign-On).

Clarabridge said that the new version comes with an enhanced Navigator that allows analysts to configure a Clarabridge application and explore customer feedback. It provides embedded reports that can be run directly from within the Navigator interface and do not require use of a third party business intelligence application. It includes new ways to classify customer feedback using a combination of linguistic, boolean, and statistical approaches.

The new version comes with a sentiment engine that is expected to improve the accuracy of sentiment calculation and scoring, helping mangers understand what drives negative and positive consumer feelings. The new version also added enhanced statistical functionality to allow for real-time, predictive analytics.

The new version 3.3 supports new business intelligence features provided by companies such as Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, and Oracle, through upgrades and enhancements of CMP’s pre-packaged reporting objects and reporting meta-data. It also extends its support of data warehousing platform, the company said.

Justin Langseth, president and CTO of Clarabridge, said: “CMP 3.3 provides enhanced enterprise performance, ease of use, powerful embedded reports, enhanced classification, an enhanced sentiment engine, and additional business analysis features that enable Fortune 1000 companies to gain even more insight into the true voice of their customers so they can improve their bottom-line decisions.”
