CA Technologies has introduced a connector for integrating CA Process Automation with VMware vCloud Director.
CA Process Automation a central component of both CA Automation Suite for Data Centers and CA Automation Suite for Clouds.
With the new capability efficient service delivery is enabled and costs are reduced by automating and orchestrating IT operational processes, such as change, configuration, and financial management, involving VMware vCloud Director.
By using the connector enterprises and service providers can enhance the performance of their VMware private and public clouds to automate and orchestrate VMware vCloud Director-based processes with CA Technologies service automation, capacity management and service management offerins.These offerings include CA Automation Suite for Clouds, CA Automation Suite for Data Centers, CA Capacity Manager, CA Service Catalog, CA Service Accounting, CA Service Desk Manager and CA CMDB.
The connector utilises CA Process Automation as the single interface to design, deploy and administer IT processes, and integrates with the VMware vCloud Director API.
CA Technologies Virtualization and Automation general manager Roger Pilc said taking advantage of CA Technoligies’ many management offerings via the integration of CA Process Automation and vCloud Director enables customers to achieve automated processes across their data centers and cloud infrastructures, and a common, integrated service view, regardless of whether workloads or business services reside on virtual and physical infrastructure.
