By CBR Staff Writer

Real Madrid C.F., one of the premier football clubs in the world, has selected CA Technologies CA ARCserve Backup software to help ensure the protection, availability and recovery of all the Club’s corporate data and systems.

CA ARCserve protects Real Madrid C.F. entire information systems, from databases and email to business process systems such as HR, finance, and CRM.

Ten terabytes of data is stored across 30 servers and the storage area network that form the data centre’s centralised architecture. The use of CA ARCserve will be extended to virtualised environments that are currently being implemented.

Reactive recoveries on user demands are requested via CA Service Desk, a CA Technologies software product implemented at Real Madrid as the corporate helpdesk offering.

CA ARCserve Backup is a high-performance offering that combines disk and tape backup features including – data deduplication, granular restore and infrastructure visualisation.

It also reduces management time, avoids unplanned downtime and provide fast ROI across Microsoft Windows, UNIX, Linux and NetWare in both physical and virtual environments.
