Atempo, a provider of data protection and archiving software, and Exanet, a provider of clustered NAS systems, have formed a new technology partnership that certifies the compatibility of Atempo Time Navigator and Atempo Digital Archive (ADA) with Exastore Clustered NAS.

The partners said that the new certifications deliver Atempo’s backup, recovery and file archiving capabilities to Exanet’s storage system, resulting in joint offering that are optimised for data-intensive organisations, particularly those in media and entertainment markets.

Atempo Time Navigator enables medium to large-size organisations to manage data throughout its lifecycle. Along with data protection, the software’s Time Navigation capability allows users to restore files from any point in time off any tier in a storage environment, the companies said.

In addition, Atempo Digital Archive enables the automated and end-user triggered movement of data from primary disk onto archival media. It integrates into digital workflows to help organisations improve the overall management of their digital assets.

Fabrice de Salaberry, VP of sales, EMEA and general manager at Atempo, said: “With Atempo’s compatibility with the popular Exastore Clustered NAS, our longstanding support for Mac OS X, and our integration with multiple digital asset management tools widely used in the creative fields, our software is optimised to protect and preserve the high-value digital assets in any such organisation.”
