Advanced Industrial Computer (AIC), a storage and server OEM/ODM offerings provider, has released Xtore Professional StudioRAID 16RXe storage subsystem that features the ATTO FastStream 8200E storage controller which supports SAS and SATA hard disk drives.

With 16TB per 3U rack-optimised shelf, the Xtore StudioRAID 16RXe is a suitable storage offering for direct-attached or SAN-based server and workstation applications, qualified for use with Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server or Windows environments, AIC said.

AIC said that the new offering incorporates DriveAssure drive assessment and latency management technology, preventing premature drive failures and slowdowns. Other features include cooling fans, a pair of 500W 12V power supply modules and a data storage system WebGUI.

Gene Lee, senior vice president of AIC, said: “The combined storage expertise of AIC and ATTO have resulted in a solution specifically engineered to address the demanding performance requirements of video and audio broadcast content professionals, while providing exceptional reliability and data protection.

“With low latency for the smoothest data transfer provided by ATTO’s ADS technology, the AIC Xtore StudioRAID allows users to edit three 10-bit uncompressed streams of high-definition video on a single RAID 5 array.”
