Adobe Systems has announced to offer upgrades for its flagship software package, which includes Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, only via online subscriptions from June 2013.

The company said that it will no longer releases future versions of of Creative Suite or other CS products but offer its software on a subscription basis through its Creative Cloud.

However the company will continue to support Adobe Creative Suite 6 products and will be available for purchase.

The updated Creative Cloud, Adobe’s cloud-based subscription model, allows files to be stored, synced and shared, via Creative Cloud, on Mac OS, Windows, iOS and Android, which also incorporates Behance that enables users to showcase work, receive feedback on their projects.

Adobe Digital Media senior vice president and general manager David Wadhwani said Creative Cloud brings together everything that users need to create their work.

"We’re delivering incredible new versions of our desktop tools, services that take publishing content to the next level and we’re making it easier than ever for creatives to collaborate and share their work worldwide," Wadhwani said.

Adobe’s Creative Suite 6, which was launched in May 2012, incorporates software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver that are deployed by professional designers.

The upgraded Creative Cloud offers desktop, web and mobile access; integration with the creative community; synchronise, store, share and collaborate; in addition to seamless publishing.
